Hey everyone,

Hope you are having a great week. Today I will review my newest found favorite concealer. Its fron the brand Diana of London. Originally I thought that this concealer is too dark for me. But I have learnt the best way to use it and it has become my go to concealer for dark circles since then. This is the darkest shade available from the range.

Lotus herbals purestay face powder- 03 Hazelnut star review

Hey guys,

I know I am posting after so longgggg. Ever since I took up a job my blog has suffered so much. I try to update daily but my internet connection sucks!!! Anyway this is a long pending post. Today I am going to review this new face powder that I got, its from the new Lotus range and I have been using it a lot lately. So read on to know what I think about it.

Price:- 595/-

I bought this powder because I was lusting so much after this collection. I swatched it in store and liked it so I bought it. It comes in a very pretty purple cover which looks very sophisticated and is so stretchable. It makes my sister and me wish that we had pajamis (leggings) of this material.

The texture of the powder is so smooth. I mean it literally crumbles under your hand, its that smooth. It spreads evenly and looks smooth. It gives a very good coverage as you always tend to pick up a lot on the brush. The applicator thing that comes along is almost useless. Its so thin, I think it should have been a bit more fluffy. There is a plastic covering separating the powder and the sponge. Personally I think that covering prevents the powder to be wasted with fall outs.

There is a lot of fall out from the powder when you use it since it is so smooth. I dont like that fact because I find it a bit untidy. I would compare this powder with Mac's powder plus foundation in terms of the coverage and its feel.

My personal favorite is still Mac's mineralize skin finish but this is not bad either. It is not too good on the oil control part because I feel my skin becomes oily in about 2 hours even in this weather and in A.C environment. There is not too much oil just a little shine on my face. It is not a big bother as you can also use blotting papers to get rid of it but then people with extremely oily skin may not like it much.

It has SPF 20 but I would say it is of no use because any makeup product with SPF is only effective if it is the first thing that goes on your face. So there is no point in putting SPF ina  face powder since we always moisturize before using makeup or always apply sunscreen before makeup. I dont really think that this powder removes any fine lines, wrinkles etc.
See what a good match it is for my skintone.

Overall, it is a decent powder and performs its job well. There are 5 shades available and you should match yourself before buying it. You should really check if the texture is to your liking or not.

PROS:-
1. Classy packaging
2. Affordable
3. Smooth texture
4. Good color selection

CONS:-
1. Fall out due to smooth texture
2. Availability maybe an issue

My rating:- 3.8/5

Have a great week guys! :)

Sigma F 80 brush review

Hey everyone,

How are you all doing? I just read that Sephora has opened up in Delhi, that is absolutely amazing and I cant wait till my next Delhi trip so that I can see that store. Today I will be reviewing my favorite brush for foundation ever, it is from Sigma. I believe a flawless face can be achieved by the right use of products. As for foundation, you need to make sure that it is well blended so that it looks as natural as possible. Read on to know more as to how I use this brush to achieve that kind of a face.

Price:- $16

Availability:- www.sigmabeauty.com and www.B2Nshop.com

The brush does seem a bit expensive at first but I believe it is worth it. When it comes to foundation you need to ensure that it is nicely buffed in so that it does not show up on your face. With this brush either you can blend your foundation with it or go over your foundation to ensure that any excess it removed and the rest nicely buffed in.

If you need full coverage then one should dot the foundation on the face and then blend with this brush. If you require a medium coverage then you can apply the foundation with your fingers and to give it a good finish go over it with this brush. I like to use it the second way.

Coming to this brush, it is so soft and has never shed a single hair. It is soft and does not scratch my face. I hate brushes that make my face hurt. This is not among those. It feels really soft and does its job well. I have washed it many time but the bristles are still intact and there is no falling out of hair.

I dont think that this brush is difficult to clean. Its pretty easy and becomes clean asily. I would always recommend you all to wash your face brushes atleast once a week to avoid any skin troubles and all.

Overall I love this brush and the effect it gives to my foundation. It is definitely Holy Grail for me. If you guys do not want to spend as much on this brush there are a few cheap options, you could try the ELF flat top buffer brush and I also saw a flat top brush at New U from a brand called QVS. Although I do have a flat top brush from a chinese site www.buyincoins.com too but it is not as soft. If you guys really want to invest in a good brush I would highly recommend this one.

PROS:-
1. Soft
2. Bristles dont shed
3. Easy to clean
4. Less expensive as compared to Mac and other such brands
5. Gives full coverage when used with any foundation
6. Buffs very well

CONS:-
1. Available only through online sites

My rating:- 5/5

I highly recommend. Have you used it? Do share your views with me :)

Outfit of the day, the red way!

Hey everyone,

Hope you guys had an amazing weekend. I had fun with my sister this weekend. We went for some shopping, a movie ( Skyfall ) and then dinner. The weekend was really nice and I loved dressing up. I chose to wear my casual red Guess top along with jeans and my favorite beige heels. I love these heels so much. They are super comfortable and I have no issues going shopping wearing them since they dont hurt my feet.

You can see me wearing the same heels here too.

My makeup for today!

Hey everyone,

Here I go with another makeup of the day post. When I woke up in the morning I had decided to do something totally different with my look. But I just changed it entirely. I used a light brown matte eyeshadow all over the lid and filled in a purple colour lightly in the crease, it does not show up as purple in the pictures but it was showing up other wise. For lips I chose a pink lip color.

Here are the pictures of it :)
