Sephora Cream lip stain in number 3 review + FOTD

Hey everyone,

How is the week coming along? Every since Sephora opened in Delhi, I thought of reviewing some of the products from Sephora's own makeup line. Today I would be talking about a lip stain which feels like a lip color. Read on to know how I found it and to see the swatches of it.

Price:- $12 in USA, no idea about Indian price

Color:- 03 Strawberry Kissed - matte bright pinky red

What Sephora says and claims:- What it is: A lip stain that provides beautiful, long-lasting color.

What it does:
This high-coverage lip product features avocado oil for a texture that transforms as you wear it: when applied, the initial cream texture becomes a silky, lightweight stain. Lips achieve stunning color and feel soft and comfortable.

What else you need to know:
Available in an array of rich shades, including both matte and satin finishes, with intense color that stays put.

See more of them at http://www.sephora.com/cream-lip-stain-P281411?skuId=1323138

My Experience with it:-

The lip stain is so smooth to apply. Its almost like a very very pigmented lip gloss. The colour pay off is so high. The colour is just as described by Sephora. Its is a matte brigh pinky red truly. The colour is so different because of the pink factor in it. It is not completely red and looks very different on the lips being so matte.

The packaging is like a normal lip gloss with a doe foot applicator. It is very easy to apply but since it is a dark colour you have to create the lip shape carefully. It has the words Sephora ingrossed on top of it.

The lip stain originally has some shine when freshly applied but goes completely matte within seconds. It is a true matte lip color after that. The best part about this is that it it not at all drying like some matte lip colors are. Its very comfortable to wear on the lips. It is very creamy to put on and is just a delight to apply.

After a while

The staying power is pretty good too. It does not transfer and without meals stays on for atleast 6 hours. After a full meal the colour fades from the centre of the lips and you have to re apply. You can even top it off with a gloss but I believe the matte look is very different and nice. It does not settle into the fine lines which is a plus point too. Overall I really like this colour and I wish the colour selection had some nude shades too.

I wore this lip color with my red dress during the Europe vacation :) So here is the FOTD
You can actually tell that is is a pinky red. Also this was the first time I wore a red lip color in public :)

I highly recommend all you lucky people who can visit Sephora to check this one out for sure :)

1. Creamy
2. Long lasting
3. Smooth to apply
4. Non drying
5. Unique colour
6. Affordable

1. The colour selection has no nude or light pink colours

My rating:- 5/5

Have a great week ahead everyone :)
